We recently closed our production of Macbeth, directed by Taibi Magar. It was a really invigorating, challenging experience – nearly all of us played multiple characters, and the production was incredibly visceral and physically demanding. Definitely a switch after The Diary of Anne Frank, and a really fun way for me to stretch myself as an actress.
The production was very well received by the local theater scene, getting a special shout out in the Cleveland Plain Dealer's end of year theater review: "Taibi Magar's 'Macbeth,' performed by the Case Western Reserve University-Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program's class of 2018, was a high-concept, postmodern marvel, as riveting a take on the Bard's cautionary tale of tyranny and unchecked ambition as I've ever seen. It's also the most thrilling."
I'll miss this show! We're on Winter Break right now, and then it's on to solo shows and showcase prep. Third year keeps us busy!
