A new play that tells the story of a young woman struggling with her relationship with her mother as she contemplates an abortion under an impending trigger law in Kentucky. First produced as a staged reading at Playwrights Downtown in July 2022; produced as a fully staged production at the Chain Theatre in November 2022.

Taproot Creatives is a theater and film collective, championing works by and stories of women and other marginalized genders. Taproot is a recipient of the 2025 NYSCA-A.R.T./New York Creative Opportunity Grant, with ensemble members based across the country. Taproot’s work has been showcased by the Tank, the Chain, spit&vigor, Theater for the New City, Yellow Bicycle Theater, Bluebird Theatre Company, STN New Play Festival, Chain NYC Film Festival,
Big Apple Film Festival, Yonkers Film Festival, and Massachusetts International Film Festival.
As a Taproot board member, Sarah has facilitated and participated in weekly writers' workshops since 2021. Sarah also produces, publicizes, and collaborates on Taproot productions.

Sarah's theatremaking
In addition to her work as an actress and playwright, Sarah directs, produces, develops new plays, and is a cofounder of Taproot Creatives, a creative collective based in New York City. Sarah believes deeply in creating spaces for true collaboration and support; she thinks theatre only really works as a team sport. She's always looking for new work that excites her and new, smart people to make things with.
